Prepare your Quilt Top

To ensure a smooth and efficient experience, please go through each item on this checklist to prevent any potential delays with getting your quilt returned. Click here for downloadable version of this checklist. If possible, please print the form, fill out and send in with your quilt.

Prepare Quilt Top for Shipping

  • Loose threads trimmed
  • Free of embellishments
  • Order number is inside your box/packaging as well as your phone number
  • Mark the top of the quilt top with a safety pin. If you include backing, also mark the backing top with a safety pin especially if the backing is directional
  • Quilt top and backing (if included) is free of pins (except for safety pins to mark the top of the quilt top and backing)
  • Place quilt top, backing/binding (if included) and paper with info in plastic bag inside shipping box to protect from moisture during shipping. Do not layer or baste together.

Backing and Binding

  • Backing (if included) is 4 inches larger on all 4 sides of the quilt top and fully pieced/pressed
  • Binding fabric included and labeled (only if not using the leftover backing fabric). NOTE: we do not bind
    minky, cuddle or fleece. Do not pre-make the binding.
